It is deep cherry. It has intense aromas of red ripe fruit (ripe raspberry) which combine perfectly with the spicy notes of cacao, vanilla and licorice corresponding to a noble aging. It is very fresh and fruity in the mouth. It has a notable ending where fruity and spicy aromas come back via retro-nasal. It is a magnificent expression of an elegant Garnacha from Aragon.
Wine Advocate
The 2008 Atteca was sourced from even older vines, 80-120 years of age in this case. Deep crimson-colored, it offers up an enticing perfume of spice box, violets, and black cherry. Supple-textured with excellent depth and concentration and plenty of savory fruit, it lacks only complexity but, at this price, who’s complaining?

Wine Enthusiast
Minty black cherry aromas give it a solid opening, but there’s also some mild cleanser and paint scents to the nose. The palate is basic, snappy, fresh and carries good weight, while the flavors are sweet, berry-oriented and softened by vanilla. A good Grenache with good balance.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
